On August 6, another monitoring visit by experts from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) took place in Rivne as part of the implementation of the project "Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings in Ukraine," funded with the support of the European Investment Bank.
Representatives of the UNDP technical assistance team, together with specialists from the Capital Construction Department, the Department of Strategic Development and Investment, the Department of Education, the principals of Lyceums No. 8 and No. 13, members of monitoring groups, as well as representatives of the contracting organization and companies responsible for technical and architectural supervision, inspected the facilities where comprehensive thermal modernization works are underway.
During the visit, the quality of the completed work was assessed, particularly regarding facade insulation and the installation of energy-efficient windows and doors. The UNDP experts acknowledged the proper pace of project implementation, provided technical consultations on the final stages, and emphasized the importance of adhering to energy efficiency standards.
As a result of the project, learning conditions will be significantly improved for more than 2,500 students and working conditions for over 260 staff members. In addition, the modernization will reduce energy consumption, decrease CO₂ emissions, and ease the financial burden on the city budget.
The implementation of such projects is part of the strategic direction of the Rivne community toward improving energy efficiency and creating a safe, comfortable educational environment.
