On April 23, a working meeting was held by representatives of the sub-project implementation group under the “Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings in Ukraine” program.
Participants included representatives from the UNDP technical assistance team, employees of the Capital Construction Department, the Department for Strategic Development and Investment of the Department of Economic Development, principals of Rivne lyceums No. 8 and No. 13, as well as representatives of the contracting company and the company responsible for architectural and technical supervision.
Specifically, the UNDP technical assistance team reviewed the progress of construction work at the lyceums, where a comprehensive thermal modernization of the educational institutions is underway. They also inspected the purchased PVC windows. Additionally, the team provided answers to questions from the contracting company and gave recommendations to the project client regarding the preparation of reporting documentation.
As a reminder, on April 2 and 17, comprehensive thermal modernization works began at Lyceums No. 8 and No. 13 in Rivne, respectively. Thanks to cooperation between the Rivne community and the European Investment Bank, the material and technical, sanitary, and aesthetic conditions for students, teachers, and staff will be improved, CO₂ emissions reduced, and city budget expenditures on energy consumption decreased. It is worth noting that Lyceum No. 8 has 910 students, while Lyceum No. 13 has 1,617 students. The teaching and administrative staff of both institutions includes a total of 262 employees.
