Yesterday, a working group meeting for the development of the community charter was held. The meeting was chaired by the Secretary of the City Council, Acting Mayor Viktor Shakirzyan.
The legal experts from the executive committee presented the agreed draft of the document to the working group members. All submitted proposals were discussed, including "technical" revisions of the wording according to new legislative requirements and timelines for reviewing petitions from community residents, among other points
It is worth mentioning that the draft of the community charter already incorporates the requirements of the Ukrainian Law "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding People's Power at the Local Government Level," which was passed by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine four months ago and is now awaiting the president's signature.
