Today, during the Deputies’ Day, the "Solar Power Plants on Educational Institution Rooftops" project was presented. Nine educational institutions in the community now have roofs ready for installing solar power plants with a total capacity of 295 kW (ranging from 15 kW to 50 kW), capable of generating approximately 320,000 kWh of electricity.
In the current context, this initiative by the community leader Viktor Shakirzyan is highly relevant and necessary.
Recently, the government also instructed communities to establish solar (or wind) generation facilities and energy storage equipment in educational institutions as quickly as possible.
This project was developed by Svitlana Dorofieieva from the Energy Saving and Efficiency Department of the Energy Management Office.
Additionally, initial plans were presented by our colleague Oksana Popadynets from the Business Support Department of the Entrepreneurship Development Office regarding financial compensation for small and medium-sized businesses in Rivne for purchasing equipment to generate electricity from renewable sources.
