An online event was held as part of the program "Energy efficiency of public buildings in Ukraine"

Today, January 19, 2023, an online event was held as part of the EIB program "Energy Efficiency of Public Buildings in Ukraine", which was organized by the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine. Representatives of the Department of Strategic Development and Investments of the Department of Economic Development took part in the event.

During the event, it was announced the opening of new opportunities to attract funding to projects to improve the energy efficiency of budget buildings, and the program "Energy efficiency of public buildings in Ukraine" was presented directly.

In advance, the announcement of the competition within the above-mentioned program is planned for the end of February 2023. From the beginning of the competition, communities will have 2 months to prepare applications.

Projects can be aimed at both thermal modernization measures and reconstruction of damaged objects. However, at least 50% of the budget should be directed to thermal modernization of such facilities. The expected reduction in energy consumption should be at least 55%.

Estimated project implementation period – 9-12 months. The term of the loan is 20 years, the first five years are preferential. The lending rate is close to the EURIBOR level.

The program "Energy efficiency of public buildings in Ukraine" is financed by the European Investment Bank with the support of the European Union and the "East European Partnership on Energy Efficiency and Ecology" (F5P) Fund.
